Conversations with an Angel

An Imagined Dialog Between a Human (H) and an Angel (A) about Life's Difficulties

Your Questions
H: It seems to me like life is harder than it should be.
A: That is wisdom.

H: So I am right?
A: God made it perfect, but man made errors and now life is hard.

H: Do you mean humans make mistakes every day?
A: You do, but I mean at the beginning man made big mistakes, and you live in the error of those mistakes.

H: That doesn't seem fair. Why should I have to experience the punishment of someone I never even met?
A: It is complex. It is about order. There are rules. When rules are broken, they are broken for everyone. Like a man who cuts down a tree. Is not the tree cut down for everyone that comes after him? Yes. Once the tree is dead, it is always dead. Once the rule is broken, it is always broken, for everyone. This is truth.

H: That sounds depressing. So life's difficulties will always be like this?
A: If not for God's hand, yes, it would always be as it is today. The Majestic One has a plan. God made it perfect, man made the errors, now man must live with the change...until God changes it Himself. Because the rules are from God, only from God can the brokenness be put back together. Only God can do it.

H: So then, does God want life to be this hard for me?
A: No. He looks forward to the change.

H: Then, why is He waiting? Am I supposed to do something?
A: Yes. He waits for you. He waits for your brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers and sons and daughters. He waits. He does not need to wait, He waits out of love. You have small difficulties in exchange for time.

H: So the world's difficulties are a good thing?
A: Yes and no. Good because of time, bad because of pain. It saddens God to see your pain, but He patiently waits. You are blessed to have time. Time and chance for change is a great gift God gives to you. Use your time. Use it well. It will not always be present.

H: What am I supposed to do with my time?
A: Use your time to go after God. Pursue God with your whole heart, whole mind, and whole soul. With everything you have, seek Him. He is waiting for you. He waits for you now, today, at this moment, He waits. Ask Him if He waits for you. Ask God and He will move in you and life will be glorious. He waits for you. Ask Him now. He waits.
Humans...what would you ask an angel?
Angels...what would you tell a human?
